JULY MEETING MINUTES
JULY 9, 2026
6:00 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER
President – Renee Lindsey called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of Allegiance. Rosary was prayed prior to the meeting. As the only new officer, Lorraine Lauret was initiated by Board Member Grace Cazes as the Corresponding Secretary.
2. ROLL CALL / NAME TAGS
Vice President – Theresa Tracy provided the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer requests were included on this sheet. There were no guests present. Lorraine Lauret collects $0.25 per missing tag and collected $1.00. Mary Lynn Segalla volunteered to assume this role to allow Lorraine to solely work on Correspondence.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
Recording Secretary – Bethany Sclafani asked if there were any responses from members to May minutes issued via email. With none being mentioned, they were approved as submitted by President Renee Lindsey.
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS
Corresponding Secretary – Lorraine Lauret reported on cards sent, etc. She also passed the birthday/anniversary list and asked ladies to add the day of their anniversary.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
Treasurer – Eretta Perrien reported expenses and account balance for May and June. Additionally, she reviewed the year-end audit findings. She reminded ladies that $10 dues are now being collected for the new year which began in July.
6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
A. Lady of the Month – none selected
B. Initiation of Corresponding Secretary, Lorraine Lauret was held at the beginning of the meeting. C. Missing nametag money collection – was held earlier in the meeting.
D. COOK EVENT: PARISH PANCAKE BREAKFAST - SUNDAY, JULY 19TH - AFTER 7:30 & 9:30 MASSES We are in need of 8 ladies after each mass to assist in serving. Arrival times 8:10 & 10:00. A sign up sheet was disseminated for ladies to indicate if they would be able to serve.
E. Any new business to be added to next month’s agenda: Nursing home mass volunteers will be added to the next agenda. F. Margaret Mannino 50/50 drawing- There was a $30 pot with $15 going to winner Andreal St. Cyr and $15 going to the nametag 50/50 box.
G. Tootsie Roll Fund- there was discussion on providing funds for the Tootsie Roll fund; however, more information was needed on the exact cost that is needed by the Knights. President Renee Lindsey will seek more information.
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
A. KC Adoration Program – if you attend Adoration (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm) please sign “KC” in front of your name when signing in.
B. KC Rosary – We need a volunteer to lead the rosary prior to 4:00 mass. If you would like to lead the rosary, let Renee Lindey know. Our next assigned date is July 18th - sorrowful mysteries
8. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. FUN THINGS TO DO: Faye Coorpender shared about the recent visit to Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center in Misissippi. Other ladies shared what a wonderful outing it was.
