October 2025 Minutes
1. CALL TO ORDER
President – Renee Lindsey called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of Allegiance. Rosary was prayed prior to the meeting and led by Paula Huckabee.
2. ROLL CALL/NAME TAGS
Vice President – Theresa Tracy provided the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer requests were included on this sheet. Lee Porche was recognized as a guest and joined at the conclusion of the meeting. Lorraine Lauret collected $1.50 for for missing name tags.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
Recording Secretary – Bethany Sclafani asked if there were any responses from members to September minutes issued via email. With none mentioned, the minutes were approved as issued by President Renee Lindsey.
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS
Corresponding Secretary – Laura Roshto reported on cards sent and letters received.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
Treasurer – Eretta Perrien reported on expenses and account balance. She asked those who still owe dues to please submit their payment and mentioned the bylaws require her to send letters to those members who haven’t paid dues after September 30th

6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
A. Lady of the Month – was not named for October.
B. Community Donation: Amy Lawler introduced Maddie’s Footprints which will be discussed in November. Eretta Perrien mentioned Books for Boots. Mary Lynn Segalla made a motion to donate $300 to Jeremy our Seminarian. This was seconded by Ildi Gajda. The motion passed unanimously.
C. Seminarian Raffle: President Renee Lindsey discussed the raffle and has tickets on sale $5/ticket for those interested.
D. IDF - Tootsie Roll Drive - volunteers for Oct. 3rd & 4th were still needed. President Renee Lindsey expressed her gratitude to all of the ladies that are volunteering for this event.
E. Volunteers Needed: ACTS Retreat - Nov 7th cook at the Catholic Life Center lunch - noon & supper - 5:30 - see Marty Mumphrey and St. Jean Vinney anniversary dinner - Sat., Nov. 15th 5:00 - servers only - 10 needed - see Bobby Jareau.
F. Bake Sale - Amy Lawler sent around sign up sheets for those who will work the event planned for Nov 22nd and 23rd as well as those that will bring items we can offer for sale. She also asked for volunteers for a bake sale committee. Those who volunteered were Carolyn Gravois, Eretta Perrien, Mary Goudeaux and Renee Lindsey.
G. M. Mannino Nifty 50/50 Game – Faye Coorpender had our guest Lee Porche pull and the prize was awarded to Bill Coorpender.
H. There was no new business to be added to next month’s agenda.
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
A. KC Adoration Program – if you attend (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm) please sign “KC” in front of your name when signing in.
B. KC Rosary – October 4th - Joyful -Seeking a volunteer to lead the rosary. Willing to lead, let Renee Lindsey know.
8. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. Sanctuary House/St. Patrick House Committee: had no report at this time
B. Fun things to do - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST 9-11 BR OUTREACH CARE PACKAGE STUFFING 6150 Greenwell Springs Rd. Eretta Perrien will be going and those interested may contact her to ride with her.
C. The relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux will be in Lafayette, LA in November.
D. Grace Cazes asked President Renee Lindsey to forward the email previously sent to her on 9/6 to Carlin Studios so that all information and pictures may be updated on the website.

A. Student Soccer Challenge - Sat., Oct. 19th 3:00 behind gym
B. Born to Run: Saturday, November 8th – KCs cooking on site – sausage po’boys
C. Acts Retreat – KCs discussing – Friday, November 7th – on site – lunch: chicken fettuccine supper: fried fish
D. St. Patrick Family Day - Sunday, April 19th - Silent Auction – Please consider if you may have an item to donate.
