MAY MEETING MINUTES
MAY 7, 2026
6:00 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER
President – Renee Lindsey called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of
Allegiance. Rosary was prayed prior to the meeting with the KCs.
2. ROLL CALL / NAME TAGS
Vice President – Theresa Tracy provides the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer
requests are included on this sheet. There were no guests at the meeting. Lorraine Lauret collected $0.50 for
missing name tags.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
Recording Secretary – Grace Caze (Bethany Sclafani was absent) reported that there were no
comments/corrections to the minutes for the April meeting previously sent out for review by President Renee
Lindsey via email. President Renee Lindsey approved the minutes as submitted.
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS
Corresponding Secretary – Eretta Perrien (Laura Roshto absent from meeting) read any thank you notes received
and confirmed that Laura had sent out the birthday cards/anniversary cards.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
Treasurer – Eretta Perrien reported expenses and account balance.
6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
A. Lady of the Month – none selected.
B. Presentation of the slate of nominated officers for the 2026 - 2027 year. Committee Chair, Ildi Gajda received
all nominations for officers and submitted her report to President Renee Lindsey at the closing of the
nomination time frame. President Renee Lindsey presented the new slate of officers to the members. Lynn
Hitchcock made a motion to accept the officers as read. Liz Nassar seconded the motion. Members voted
unanimously to accept the slate of officers as presented. The new officers are as follows:
President: Renee Lindsey
Vice President: Theresa Tracey
Treasurer: Eretta Perrien
Recording Secretary: Bethany Sclafani
Corresponding Secretary: Lorraine Lauret
Board Member: Grace Cazes
Parliamentarian: Cammie Talbot
C. Community Donation – Redemptorist/St. Gerard School Library – Mary Godeaux made a motion to donate
$325.00 but it was decided to give $300.00 leaving a small balance in the account. Chris Morvant seconded
the motion. Members approved unanimously. A check was given to Cammie Talbot to bring to the
Redemptorist/St. Gerard School Library on behalf of the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary.
D. Upcoming Cooking Events - SATURDAY, MAY 9TH - MOTHER’S DAY BAKE SALE BY ALTAR SOCIETY –
President Renee Lindsey passed around a signup sheet indicating what baked goods you could bring to
assist the Altar Society in their fund-raising efforts.
E. END OF YEAR BANQUET - Saturday, May 23rd in the Family Center. Social half hour to begin at 5:30pm with
meal at 6:00pm. The meal will be catered by Ashley Manor, and the cost will be $25 per person. You can pay
online, in person to the KCs or by mail as per previous email sent by President Renee Lindsey.
F. INITIATION OF OFFICERS – Members voted and we have decided not to have the regular initiation
ceremony due to only having (1) new officer. Knights are not holding this initiation this year due to having (1)
new officer as well.
G. M. Mannino Nifty 50/50 Game – Winner was Lynn Hitchcock ($8.00 to Lynn and $8.00 to Name Tag 50/50
box). At the end of each fiscal year a decision is made as to which charity we will donate the money that was
collected from the 50/50 game. This year it was suggested that we honor Melinda Leblanc by donating to her
favorite charity. Faye Coorpender spoke to Melinda’s husband, Darrell and he suggested that we split the
donation between (2) charities: Morning Star Rising, Inc. (WNLC) Woman’s New Life Clinic and Pregnancy
Problem Center.
H. Any new business to be added to next month’s agenda? None mentioned. JUNE MEETING IS
CANCELLED. We will meet again on July 9th.
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
A. KC Adoration Program – if you attend Adoration (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm) please sign “KC” in front of
your name when signing in.
B. KC Rosary – We need a volunteer to lead the rosary prior to 4:00 mass. If you would like to lead the rosary,
let Renee Lindey know. Our next assigned date is May 16th - Glorious Mysteries. Cammie Talbot
volunteered.
8. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. FUN THINGS TO DO: Tour Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center Tuesday, May 12th has been CANCELLED.
New date is May 19th and the cost will be $25.00 per person of which will include lunch.
9. CALENDAR OF EVENTS
A. St. Patrick Family Day - canceled - scheduling issue - church staff will be setting the new calendar in June &
they will determine at that time functions that are approved for the next calendar year
