KAYCEE LADIES AUXILIARY
APRIL MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 9, 2026
6:00 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER
President – Renee Lindsey called the meeting to order with the Opening Prayer of St. Francis and Pledge of Allegiance.
Rosary was prayed prior to the meeting
2. ROLL CALL / NAME TAGS
Vice President – Theresa Tracy provided the roster to all attendees to note their presence at the meeting. Prayer requests
were included on this sheet. There were no guests present. Lorraine Lauret collects $0.25 per missing tag and collected
$1.00.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
Recording Secretary – Bethany Sclafani asked if there were any responses from members to March minutes issued via email.
With no responses, the minutes were approved as issued by Renee Lindsey.
4. CARDS SENT FOR BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, MISCELLANEOUS
Corresponding Secretary – Laura Roshto reported on cards sent, etc.
5. ACCOUNT BALANCE
Treasurer – Eretta Perrien reported expenses and account balance. She also discussed the First Communion gifts she
purchased and prepared for the the 13 youth who will make their First Communion this weekend.
6. NEW BUSINESS ITEMS TO DISCUSS
A. Presentation of the slate of nominated officers for the 2026-2027 year- each officer introduced herself and provided a list
of the duties of her office. She also mentioned if she would like to continue serving in that capacity. Corresponding
Secreatry will be open as the current officer has requested to step down. Anyone interested in applying for that office or
any office should email Ildi Gajda at lbg1440@yahoo.com to express interest. Nominations opened tonight and
nominees will be accepted for 2 weeks until April 23rd. Please speak with someone before you nominate her.
B. Community Donation – Faye Coorpender proposed a motion to give $200 to the ACTS retreat and Laura Roshto
proposed we support the Piarist Fathers. Mary Lynn Segalla motioned that we provide $200 to both the ACTS retreat
and the Piarist Fathers. Mary Godeaux seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
C. Upcoming Cook Events - Volunteers Needed
April 11th - 3 servers needed for an event at St. George - time & place to follow- Andreal St. Cyr and Grace Cazes will
help around 9 am an Renee Lindsey, Andreal St. Cyr and Faye Coorpender will serve and arrive around 10:30.
April 19th - cook for catechumens 25 people - chicken fettuccine & green beans - cooking begins at 9:00am, April 19th -
need 3-4 ladies to assist in set up and serving - contact Renee Lindsey 225-978-0128. Cammie Talbot and Andreal St.
Cyr offered to assist.
D. M. Mannino Nifty 50/50 Game – Faye Coorpender asked Laura Roshto to pull the winner. $11 was awarded to Julie
Giroir.
E. Please contact Renee Lindsey with any new business to be added to next month’s agenda
7. KC OFFICER MEETING INFORMATION
A. KC Adoration Program – if you attend Adoration (Wed 9-10am or Thurs 1-2pm) please sign “KC” in front of your
name when signing in.
B. KC Rosary – We need a volunteer to lead the rosary. If you would like to lead the rosary, let Renee Lindey know.
8. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. Fun things to do - Faye Coorpender will share information on Our Lady of Hope Church in Mississippi and a day trip
will be discussed.
9. CALENDAR OF EVENTS
A. St. Patrick Family Day - canceled - scheduling issue - church staff will setting the new calendar in June & they will
determine at that time functions that are approved for the next calendar year

B. Closing Prayer – St. Bernard
11. Prior to the ADJOURNMENT
Lorraine Lauret mentioned that now that the pot luck has been reinstituted, everyone should
be reminded to not begin going through the buffet line until all of the food has been placed on the buffet. Additionally, Renee
Lindsey and Theresa Tracy thanked everyone for their work at the Lenten Fish Fry events. Renee also especially thanked
Theresa for her organization and help in making it run smoothly for all.
